Device Identifiers

Device identifiers are strings of letters and numbers that can be used to distinguish that device from other devices.  These identifiers can be used for a variety of purposes, including to remember your preferences in connection with a website or app or to provide relevant ads to the device.  An example of a device identifier is Apple’s “Advertising Identifier,” a device identifier that in iOS operating system can be used to target ads to users of iPhones, iPads, and other Apple products.  You can opt out of receiving such targeted advertising by selecting “Limit Ad Tracking” in the iOS settings.  When you choose to Limit Ad Tracking, companies that receive your device’s Advertising Identifier will not be permitted to use it for ad targeting purposes.  For more information about how to manage the Advertising Identifier and similar device identifiers, please see our Mobile Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
